Week Eighty: Making Ships in a Bottle and Reading to School Children

Last Monday, I had a pretty great p-day. We went to the house of an investigator that we are teaching named José Chozo. He is like the coolest man that I've ever met in the whole world. I can't explain all of the reasons why he is so cool but some of them are that: he knows martial arts, he can cook Mexican food, he has incredible fashion sense, he is a great dad, and he knows how to make ships in a bottle.

I told him that I've always wanted to make a ship in a bottle and he invited us over to learn. He taught me how to carve the helm and my companion how to make the masts and sails. We are supposed to teach each other and come back with all of the pieces and he is going to teach us how to put it all together.

So that will probably be a pretty big hobby of mine when I get home.

Aside from that, we had a great week. We went to concilio and afterwards stopped by a school and read some books to the children.

Then we got to enjoy the General Conference the whole weekend. I have learned a ton of things this week and feel like I have a fresh perspective on things.

Love you all,
Elder Gonzalez
